Harder Farms backgrounds and finishes beef cattle, primarily Angus and Angus-cross animals. The farm also custom-feeds cattle and works with a packer in western Kansas to market finished animals.
Feeding, handling, and daily care are a steady part of the farm’s work in every season.
Crops
The farm grows corn and soybeans for feed and sale to the grain elevator, along with wheat and cereal rye. Those crops support the cattle operation and remain an important part of the business on their own.
The farm also grows bromegrass for seed and hay.
